- Used the door speaker plates from Audio Dave as well as the sub box housing a JL 10W1. Install was a snap with these items, Kudos to Dave for the nice work. Thanks again all who answered my questions and to Audio Dave for a couple of great products. - JefeC5

- The C6 Custom Partition is unbelievable and the fit and finish is outstanding. My wife and son are amazed on the quality and how everything fits with the roof top stowed. I go out to the garage just to sit in the car to look at it. One side benefit to the Partition is that my car stereo sounds even better, the sound is not getting lost in the back. - Patches- CF Forum - Just got home about an hour ago from the drive back to IL. The insulation kit was and is phenominal!! I had a reg. Arby's cup that stayed cold for 3 hrs until I decided to finally throw it out. Needless to say, that wouldn't have happened without your kit. Thanks for the work and conversation during the install. I'll be in touch about the stereo stuff when I decide to follow thru with it.

- Don - Thanks Dave, I appreciate it!! This system kicks ass. I've barely gained up the Blaupunkt and I haven't done any real tuning yet. With EQ's and and sound correction flat, I'm getting stellar sound. Out of a couple 100 songs played only 2 or 3 needed additional treble, but not much. These Focal speakers are just perfectly balanced. Very impressive!
- Steven Artz - Your insulation kit is very well designed and fit with minimum trimming and fitting. The difference noticed so far is amazing. I have not had it out on the highway yet but the reduction of at least some kinds of noise is remarkable. I have a Mild to Wild switch for NPP and with the bypass open at low rpms with the top and windows up, the resonance inside was awful so I seldom used it. This afternoon I tooled all around the neighbor at low and medium rpms and it is still loud (even some of the loud may be gone too) but there is little resonance inside the car. It is definitely tolerable now and it was really intolerable before. I am sure no one put in this kit for this problem but I consider it a good test. I also played some Pink Floyd at full volume with the windows and top on and there was no buzz or rattle. I was a little worried about some of the insulation being around the speakers - so far no problem.
In summary, it was a heck of a lot of work - much more than I even imagined but so far the results are remarkably good. I may send more observations later. I am glad I did it, and I am sure I would do it over knowing what I know now! - Bob Norman - Dave, to add to the first update, I went for a spin around town on a state hwy with lots of stop and go and traffic and lights and freeway. Most if not all was concrete which is the noisiest. It is just amazing how much quieter it is especially when the Mild to Wild was activated on the state highway. Lots of idling, lots of stop and go, acceleration and deceleration and no problems with the notorious NPP resonance with the top on and the windows up. I just had to do an extended test after yesterday’s quickie test drive because I just could not believe it make that much difference. I drove at least 15 minutes in stop and go traffic and never felt like I needed a rest from the exhaust noise. It was louder and deeper but not irritating or droning. Fantastic!
I do have one question though. How does this stuff work? I have never seen noise insulation like that. In most cases it normally needs to be firmly attached as in bonded to a panel that is vibrating. This looks like it traps the noise between the foil layers. Anyway I was skeptical that it could do SO much but it does seem to be very effective!! I like your money back guarantee! After going through all this work, no way anyone is do it all over again to rip it all out! Besides it works great!!! :) - Bob Norman - Dave, Car ran a lot quieter on the way up here with the insulation kit installed. I drove about 85 to Nashville, then 90-100 all the way to Louisville. I had about an hour at 100+. Very quiet inside; you could easily hear the radio, and the wheel/tire noise wasn't there at all. My side of the tunnel got a little warm, but the pass. side - and the cup holder! - did NOT.

- Larry Winklepleck - Dave, I must admit that taking apart the interior of the Z06 had to be one of the hardest jobs I have ever done. After cutting and installing the sound deadening and your custom blanket [C6 insulation kit], both of my hands are cut to ribbons. On the positive side, I could not have completed this job without your help over the phone; and Dave, I am so appreciative with your help. The car's noise is much more quiet now and I really enjoy driving the car and listening to the stereo. After investing four days on this
project, I have a much more appreciation into what someone would have charged me in labor to do this work.
I am still interested in upgrading the speakers, but am a little scared to "unsew" the front doors and rear speaker panels. I guess I need a little more time to gather enough "courage" to do the speaker upgrade (or a little more encouragement from you-if you are willing to walk me through the new install).
Either way, you have no idea just how instrumental you were in helping me take apart the interior to install the blanket and sound deadening.
